Our gas boiler solutions
Our flexible approach means we’ll be able to recommend a central heating system best suited to your needs and budget. All of our A-rated boilers offer at least 90% efficiency, with our team regularly installing three main systems:
- Combi gas boilers combine both your water heater and your central heating boiler in one neat unit. As water is heated straight from the mains, you don’t need a hot-water storage cylinder and a cold-water storage cistern, saving you space. Hot water arrives at your taps at mains pressure, so standard showers perform like power showers. Efficient and popular combi gas boilers heat only the water you need, when you want it. A. Hutchinson & Son is an accredited installer of Worcester Bosch and Baxi boilers, both widely used, reliable and recommended systems.
- Regular boilers are sometimes known as ‘traditional’ or ‘conventional’ boilers, and are often installed in older or larger homes that already have a traditional heating and hot water system, with a separate hot water cylinder and a cold water storage cistern in the loft. A. Hutchinson & Son recommends regular boilers to households with greater demand for hot water (for example, you may have more than two bathrooms or a large family), or for homes that suffer from low water pressure. By combining your regular boiler with a solar water heating system, your home will reduce gas costs and increase its ‘green’ rating.
- System boilers are similar to regular boilers, save for two key differences. Firstly, many parts of the heating and hot-water system are built into the boiler, making the central heating system fast and easy to install. Secondly, a system boiler doesn’t require a cold water storage cistern, useful for homes with loft conversions. Again, by combining your system boiler with a solar water heating system, your home will reduce gas costs and increase its ‘green’ rating.
